What is CBD, you ask? Well, you’re not alone.
Cannabidiol—or just CBD—is a compound found in hemp, aka Cannabis sativa L.

In a small town, you may not have as many options and you might end up buying something with a lot of fillers in it just because you don’t know any better.
One thing to watch out for is CBD isolate.
It means that the CBD was extracted from its natural source (like cannabis) and then isolated so it can be put into a capsule or bottle.
When I’m choosing an oil, I prefer whole plant extract oils instead of isolate. Isolate doesn’t offer any benefits over other extracts besides convenience (ease of travel).
But whole plant extracts offer a variety of natural compounds such as terpenes which provide aromatherapy benefits too!
How do I introduce it to my cat?
It’s important that your cat’s stomach is empty when you introduce CBD oil.
Place a few drops in a bowl of tuna or another treat, and don’t feed her for another hour.
If she eats any other food within an hour of ingesting the oil, it could throw off results.
Monitor her closely afterward to make sure she’s not showing signs of nausea or discomfort.
And remember, even if there are no side effects, do not give your cat more than 2-3 mg per kg of body weight each day as high doses can lead to liver damage.
